Road trip harmony with Viddie Pooh

As young boys Bob and I spent many miles in the back seat of various old Plymouth Station Wagons traveling the nations hi-ways and by-ways. Mom and Dad in the front seat. A song would start. Soon all three guys were singing out loud! We'd say come on Mom sing along. "No I can't sing" She would reply. Yes you can, you sing good. "No I don't, you guys will just laugh if I do. You laugh every time" She contended. No! not this time we want you to sing with us. This would go on for several miles then she would start singing out loud and we would all stop, and CRACK UP laughing. "See, I'm not gonna sing anymore with you guys. All you do is laugh at me" She would always say. Next time, and the times after that, she sang and we laughed. Sorry for laughing Mom, but I think we all knew that it was part of our wonderful family dynamics. DIDN'T WE?

Canning tomatoes

Everyone knows how much Vivian loves home grown tomatoes. (She always has a "sequoia" tomato growing in her front yard.) Well, she also loves to can home grown tomatoes. In fact, she plans her visits with us to coincide with the annual tomato canning event. One year she was here, and we had just picked a bushel of tomatoes, and were carrying them from the garden to the house. She was in the lead position and I was following behind. As we know, Vivian never does anything in slow motion, and carrying a heavy bushel of tomatoes didn't seem to slow her down at all. As I said, I was in the rear of this parade, when my flip-flop blew out. I fell to the ground , as Vivian rounded the corner. She couldn't see me, and I couldn't yell to her fast enough to slow her down. She ended up dragging me through the grass, and into the rocks. When I finally can to a stop, she peered around the corner at me, and said that she couldn't understand what was holding me up. I guess that she was really in a hurry to get those tomatoes canned!!!!

The Maui Kootchie Kootchie girl

Our trip to Hawaii was wonderful. It was so nice vacationing with Vivian, Velda, Bob and Tamara. But Vivian really got into the spirit of the event. She came downstairs one afternoon wearing this outfit that she had ordered out of a catalogue. Leave it to Vivian to think that far in advance. Not only did she have to make room for some of Velda's clothes, but she hauled this outfit all the way to Hawaii and back. I want you to realize that she stood over a hot frying pan, in this outfit, and almost fried her dangling niblets.
Thanks for the laughs Vivian...

Lets see, my guess is 48 visible time pieces.
